12/29/2023 0 Comments Symphytum officinale bone healingAnother factor against conservative treatment of this comminuted fracture was that the patient – although being an athlete – was a heavy smoker, smoking more than two packets of cigarette for the last 15 years. In the x-ray there was not obvious callus formation, the patient was in severe pain and he was already offered surgery for open reduction and internal fixation of the comminuted fracture (Figure 1b). ![]() Case 1Ī 34 years old semiprofessional football player presented to the clinic with a two weeks old comminuted fracture of his right clavicle, sustained during a football game (Figure 1a). From our knowledge this is only the second report in the English literature describing the use of Homeopathy in the fracture treatment. In all of the cases, initially, the potency used was 30CH, once daily for 10 days, and then 200CH, once a week for the next three weeks. We present four cases of fractured bones in which, after the alignment of the fractured fragments was established and secured, we used Symphytum officinale in order to speed up the healing process. The story is that the bone would be set and then comfrey leaves would be bound to the area around the fracture with bandages. Comfrey’s ancient English name is “knitbone”, and it is said that country bone-setters used it to repair broken bones. Symphytum officinale is the homeopathic remedy prepared from the common hedgerow plant – comfrey. Homeopathy, the “energy medicine”, is a branch of medical science based on the principle that disease can be cured by strengthening the body’s defense mechanism with substances selected for their energy-giving properties. ![]() ![]() Key wordsīone, fracture, healing, homeopathy, Symphytum officinale Introduction Although in the first case the fracture was severely comminuted, and in the third and fourth, the patient’s compliance to the immobilization was very poor, the result of the treatment was excellent, both clinical and radiological. We present four cases of patients with bone fractures, which were treated with the aid of the Homeopathic Remedy Symphytum officinale. 12/29/2023 0 Comments Jasper johns flag![]() The exhibition will showcase nearly 500 pieces across the two institutions, with each museum exploring the Johns canon through“echoed” or “mirrored” lenses. Prints published by ULAE © 2021 Jasper Johns and ULAE/VAGA at Artists Rights Society (ARS), New York Robert Gerhardt, Denis Y. Whitney Museum of American Art, New York gift of the American Contemporary Art Foundation, Inc., Leonard A. On September 29, “Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror,” the most comprehensive retrospective ever of Johns’s work, is set to open simultaneously at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. “Most of the time was spent on a painting and a few drawings and a print that took more time than usual to resolve and is now, finally, being printed-I hope!” “I was able to work in the studio without as much interruption as typically occurs,” Johns says. (In the 1990s, he had a rubber stamp made that said “Regrets, Jasper Johns,” which he’d use to decline invitations and requests the stamp found its way into a series of works shown at the Museum of Modern Art in 2014 under the title “Regrets.”) During the pandemic, Johns took the opportunity at his estate in Sharon, Connecticut, to toil away unfettered on the multiple projects he always has going-or at least less fettered than usual. Johns has developed a Zen-like threshold for uncomfortable silences-a skill that, at 91, he has refined to an art in itself. He has just never been interested in the public parts of being an artist that involve submitting himself as a specimen for examination. He isn’t humorless in fact, he’s the opposite. Johns has always been reluctant (and unwilling) to “explain” himself or his work. In 2010 one Jasper Johns flag reportedly sold for an astonishing $110 million. To say that Jasper Johns is ambivalent about having to discuss the intentions or meanings behind his art would imply that there is some part of it he doesn’t find distasteful. Johns is also often considered to be amongst the top printmakers of all times next to artists like Durer, Rembrandt, Picasso, and others. In 2018, the New York Times called him the United States’ “foremost living artist”. His works sell for millions while he has received numerous awards and honors. Johns is lucky to have seen his name widely celebrated. An important role in making him known to the American and international scene also played the Leo Castelli gallery. With years, his artistic style evolved along with his fame. In 1954 he painted his first flag and in 1955 he made the Target with four faces which was a unique merging of sculpture and canvas.Īs he grew, he rose into a pioneer of a dadaist resurgence in New York which is now described as neo-dadaism. Thereafter he moved to New York and became good friends with the artist Robert Rauschenberg. Johns served in the Korean War until 1953. He was born in 1930 in Augusta Georgia and attended three semesters at the University of South Carolina. The things I like are that the game never gets boring to me, there’s always the calling to refill my queue or use my arena tickets. My phone’s age and rather old model is very likely to blame for the glitches and crashing I get, but I still think it’s a problem because my friends have reported frequent crashing too on newer phone models. Especially when I draw from the gacha, which is extremely frustrating when I open the game and find my gems lost and no new cookies or soulstones have been claimed. Thank you for reading my review and if you don't made Devsisters please fix this, thank you! Also, even after you get most of the costumes you already have, the stars that you get after doing the costume poll is so low as the price of the costumes in the shop is super expensive. Moreover, because the rainbow cubes are a bit hard to get and there is a low chance of getting epic, even rare costumes, you've wasted your rainbow cubes on costumes you already have. If you don't have a lot of money that you can't spend or aren't allowed to becomes annoying especially if you really like the costumes. Events using missions isn't a bad idea, but it could be difficult because of the time it takes, say for the bear train it takes around 6-8 hours for it to come back and the rainbow cubes are usually only in events if you're free to play, like I am. Practically everything else is absolutely amazing but those four things bug me. But four things that do annoy me is the amount of time in events, the chance rate of the costumes, the star reward after polling on the costume gacha, and how rare the rainbow cubes are. I'm very picky with the games that I keep and this is one of the few that I've kept for this long. I really enjoy the game a lot, I've been playing this game since October and never once have I ever disliked anything to the point of completely deleting the app. This is a recommendation for my friends but it has mistakes. That’s all I have to say, but otherwise, the game is amazing! I give it a solid 5 stars. Or maybe for the new people, give a description of each server so they can decide whether or not they have to battle experienced players or not. Maybe in the future, you could let people switch between servers, or let people be friends with other people regardless of server. All my friends are on hollyberry, while I’m in pure vanilla. I didn’t know this at first, so I picked pure vanilla. It doesn’t seem like a difference, but if you didn’t know, pure vanilla has all the veteran players, all the good players, while hollyberry is the newer server with less experienced players. At the very start of the game, you get to choose two servers: pure vanilla, or hollyberry. I feel like the power makes you think that you would need a team with around the same power, but you don’t really. I’ve been doing most of the 80,000+ battles with around 40,000 total power, and it works. However, with a well made team, you could clear those levels easily. The levels show the total power, and you’d think that levels with thousands and thousands more power than your team’s current level would be challenging. Overall, it’s a really good game, with all the story and all the things you could do, but there is some things. I’ve been playing for not that long, but I really like the game. You can easily spend hours in Black Ops II without ever once firing a bullet. The brand new CODcasting feature lets you commentate on matches like an eSports shoutcaster. Theater allows you to create, edit, and share videos. The Elite service gives you social features and stat tracking so you can organize clan matches and track your performance. Sadly, neither has recieved huge upgrades since Halo 3.Ĭall of Duty: Black Ops II: Outside of the three main gameplay modes, Black Ops II offers plenty of other things to do. Forge, for instance, allows you to create your own multiplayer levels, and Theatre lets you capture the best moments from your games and share them with others. Halo 4: Besides playing through the campaign, co-op, and multiplayer, Halo 4 includes multiple other ways to interact with the world. Treyarch moved Call of Duty forward, but its still wrapped up in the same tropes as before, whereas Halo definitely upped the ante. The guns, gadgets, and futuristic locations that were spawned from the 2025 setting also gives us somewhat of a new experience, but in the end, youll still feel like youre playing a Call of Duty game. The branching story mechanics of the campaign have never been done in the series before. Instead, the developer acknowledged the roots while moving forward, leaving the past in the past and starting a totally new saga with new aliens, new weapons, and new characters.Ĭall of Duty: Black Ops II: Call of Duty hasnt been known for being the most original shooter franchise in quite some time, but Treyarch did put effort into bringing something new to the table. Halo 4: Sure, 343 could have found an excuse to reignite the human-Covenant war, bringing back everyones favorite conglomeration of evil aliens for another battle, but it didnt. Pick 10 is awesome, and it moves things forward more than Halo 4's half-step into the modern era. The new Scorestreak system encourages players to work for the greater good, and the "Pick 10" customization system opens up even more freedom to loadout creation, allowing you to equip only what you want to use and nothing you don't. Some significant changes have been made to make the competitive multiplayer even more engaging than before. Being able to choose loadouts is a nice touch as well, but Halo multiplayer is still Halo multiplayer.Ĭall of Duty: Black Ops II: Treyarch didn't just slap together a few new maps, change a few weapon skins, and call it a day. Sprinting and other gameplay changes make it feel faster, and the addition of Ordnance Drops-343's take on Killstreaks-add some nice variety to matches. Halo 4: Halos multiplayer hasnt evolved much since Halo: Combat Evolved hit the original Xbox (save for the addition of online play, obviously), but Halo 4s competitive side does move the series forward a bit. 12/29/2023 0 Comments Process c 41 filmWhen mounted on card stock, these images are the slides that you’d put in a slide projector, or the slides that your grandparents have in boxes in the attic. The light and dark areas appear as they do in reality. Unlike the more common color negative film, slide film produces a positive image straight onto the film. Slide film has many other names, including “positive“, “transparency“, “reversal“ and “E-6” film. Essentially, all the areas that appear lightest on the negative will be dark on the final print and all dark areas of the negative will show light on the print. This is by far the most common type of black and white film, and it works in much the same way as color negative film. If you're just starting out, you may want to consider film developing starter kits. For example, a C-41 developing kit contains bleach, color developer, and stabilizer. Unlike negative film, the light and dark areas appear on the film as they do in reality. C-41, E-6, and RA-4 kits are available and include all the chemicals you'll need for that specific developing process. ![]() ![]() Slide film, (also known as “positive“, “transparency“ and “reversal“ film) is a type of film that produces a positive image straight onto the emulsion. As each chemical mixture is optimized for a specific kind of film, you will get unpredictable results when combining them differently. It is also possible to develop color negative film at home, however it is more complicated than developing B&W film because of the precise temperature and timings that are required to achieve good results.Ĭross processing (or “X-pro”) is the procedure of deliberately processing film in a chemical solution intended for a different type of film. Because of this standardization, C-41 processing is usually done by machine and is therefore cheaper than B&W film to have developed at a lab. The majority of colour film in use today uses C-41 processing and it has been the industry standard since 1972. However all of our color film uses C-41 processing.Ĭ-41 is the name for the standard process for developing color negative film. Our Color Negative range produces accurate and true to life colors while the LomoChrome family of films create dramatically altered colors for stunning effects. For architecture and landscape, and portraits, T400CN is a winner. Tri-X and Fuji Neopan 400 still tops for me. Since I prefer the added textual quality grain provides in my dad to day, and even some portrait shootings, I shoot non-chromogenics. When I want no grain, I shoot T400CN, period. If you''re an amateur, I strongly suggest you consider this film as mini-insurance policy in tricky lighting situations. Try that with any non-chromogenic and kiss half your prints goodbye. 200 to 800 on the same roll with fantastic results. The best attribute to this film is its latitude. I know printers who disagreement with me, but all I have are my own prints for comparison. I personally prefer this chromogenic over Ilford XP2 Super, which I find doesn''t enlarge as cleanly to 8x10 and 11x14 as T400 does. ![]() Yet, I have two 4圆 prints on my wall printed from Rite-Aid on T400CN. If a pro has difficulty, you can bet a computerized mini-lab machine will be of no help. At 400 rating, I have heard complaints about how difficult (time consuming) it can be to find the right contrast range. And yes, I only use professional printers here in L.A. I almost always rate this emulsion at 200 - sometimes 100, depending on contrast variation of the scene. I have photos to 11x14 that look medium format to even the most discerning eye. I''ve shot almost every B&W emulsion over the years, and never found any to date that can rival T400CN for its latitude and lack of grain (being a dye based film). 12/29/2023 0 Comments Codelink v2 offline versionYou can open multiple workspaces (folders) with different profiles applied simultaneously. Similar to beat rolls, sweeps help create tension in build-ups, breaks, and transitions. With a drum kit, you can create rhythmic patterns, or create beat rolls to spice up build-ups and drops in the tracks you’re playing. There are three main elements you can start adding to your MASCHINE project: drum sequences, sweeps, and synth melodies. So from that point on, TRAKTOR is internally synced, but not with Link. When it’s your turn to mix in from their last track, you’re launching your set at their beats, not necessarily when Link is at the start of a loop cycle. This is fine for most applications where loops are created within the constraints of the software, but with DJing, you’re playing with variable music in a live setting, which means that often your mixing won’t always be in that time.Īn example of this is when you’re DJing back-to-back with someone who is beatmatching by ear. Once you start the sync, Ableton Link begins a four beat loop cycle (in a 4/4 time signature), which all Link-active software will adhere to. There is no additional latency by using JackAudio either, the only impact will be on your CPU while the audio is being processed. JackAudio was designed from the ground-up to provide reliable, low-latency routing, suitable for professional audio. Both Windows and macOS have a companion GUI app to set up the routing (Jack Portaudio and JackPilot, respectively). JackServer routes the audio in and out of software with the correct JackRouter “driver” selected as audio input and output. You can even create multi-channel outputs from one application to another, beyond the limitations of the hardware inputs and outputs. With JackAudio, you can set up virtual routing between your software applications without having to fiddle with any wires. You’ll need to route the audio within the software from one application to another, using something like the cross-platform application JackAudio or alternatives like Soundflower, on macOS. Getting sound from MASCHINE into TRAKTOR PRO is the fun / complicated part. You can also, if your audio interface allows for it, run both apps through the same output, and control their volumes independently within their respective user interfaces.īut what about if you want to get MASCHINE running into one of your controller’s mixer channels? This would be impossible when you have an audio interface with stereo inputs that go direct to master out, such as the KONTROL S5, or something like the Xone:K2, which has none. A more straightforward way to accomplish this would be to use a second audio interface for MASCHINE, but that relies on having a way of inputting the audio into a mixer. To get a working project going and having some sound come out of MASCHINE is only a small step in the overall process. Set up a MASCHINE project with the samples you want, and sync with TRAKTOR. TRAKTOR PRO 2.11+ software, a DJ controller mapped to TRAKTOR PRO, MASCHINE + MASCHINE 2.5.6+ software, JackAudio, or similar, such as Soundflower, and Ableton Link connection. But what about when you’ve got a controller with a built in interface? Setting up MASCHINE with a club mixer or audio interface is fairly straightforward: just route the output from the software to one of the mixer’s USB outputs, and you’ve got full volume, gain control, along with any other mixer features the channel has access to. All these tools let DJs expand their horizons, but there are other ways to achieve this by employing MASCHINE into your setup. TRAKTOR’s power features take you beyond the ones-and-twos, with four decks, Stems functionality, and remix. (The following tutorial, unfortunately, does not yet apply to systems running Windows!) ![]() With this handy guide you’ll learn how to set them up together, in order to spice up your DJ sets with some groovebox action. Together, MASCHINE and TRAKTOR can be a match made in heaven. |
